1500 Ton Foundation
Pavement Constructors was asked by Technip to engineer and construct a 1500 ton foundation on their property.
Beginning with an assessment of the technical requirements and meticulously detailed engineering plans, Pavement Constructors began to auger out 52 vertical channels in order to drive 65 foot by 24 inch steel piles which were then concrete filled and left to set.
Once the reinforced piles were fully set, Pavement Constructors poured a 30 inch thick foundation reinforced with 39 tons of rebar. The final result was a superbly engineered, super flat, 4000psi concrete platform.
